What is Extenda-Bond Plus?
Extenda-Bond Plus is one of our most popular maximum-wear tapes. Famous for the Swiss cheese-like holes it’s designed with, Extenda-Bond Plus is breathable, comfortable, semi-dull, and holds up to 4-6 weeks (with proper bonding and install techniques).
What Makes Extenda-Bond Plus Great?

One of the challenges with maximum wear adhesives is how long they sit on the scalp. Holding for up to 4-6 weeks, sweat, residue, and more can begin to build beneath the unit – almost suffocating the scalp.
We’ve designed Extenda-Bond Plus with intricately placed holes in order to help the scalp breathe, while also maintaining the maximum wear hold. It’s truly the best of both worlds.

To Achieve the Best Bond with Extenda-Bond Plus
To maximize and achieve the full potential of Extenda-Bond Plus tape, be sure to:
- Perform a patch test. Be sure that Extenda-Bond Plus tape is going to be the solution for your client.
- Clean both the scalp and system before installation. A clean surface will allow for a more complete hold for Extenda-Bond Plus.
- Apply a Scalp Protector. Scalp Protector or Max Hold Sport will provide another layer of clean surface for the tape to stick to and help boost its hold time.
How To Remove Extenda-Bond Plus
There are two solvent removers that pair very well to remove Extenda-Bond Plus:
Action Solvent is our all-around, best bet, skin-safe solvent. Built with an oil base and skin-safe gentleness, Action works fast to remove the tape from the scalp and system. It’s also easy to clean – just use soap and water!
Walker Signature Remover is our remover made with completely all natural ingredients. Made with medical-grade gentleness, Walker Signature speedily strips away the adhesive. Like Action, just use soap and water to clean Walker Signature up.
Storing Extenda-Bond Plus
Be sure to store Extenda-Bond Plus (and all other system tapes) in a well-ventilated, cool, dark, dry, room-temperature controlled environment (60-80°F). Keep away from heat, humidity, and light to maximize its shelf life. Store and seal tightly in its container.
With proper storage, Extenda-Bond Plus can have a shelf life of up to 1 year.
