Walker Tape and Wigs for Kids.
Over Walker Tape®’s 40 years of existence, we’ve always focused on one critical mission above all else: to empower confidence in everybody we interact with – from salons to stylists to wearers – by providing high quality hair system tapes, adhesives, and other related products.
Part of empowering confidence in others means getting involved in the community. It’s one of Walker’s core tenements when it comes to helping system wearers and those dealing with hair loss. Back in 2023, we participated in the “Walk for Alopecia” (hosted by the NAAF), which helped raise money to improve the lives of those dealing with alopecia areata.
In 2024, we helped raise money for another great cause!
In December 2024, we held a holiday raffle to raise funds for Wigs for Kids. Wigs for Kids is an incredible non-profit organization that provides wigs to kids (it’s in the name!) to no cost to them or their families, along with providing a vast network of volunteer stylists to help install those wigs. All helping to empower confidence!
Thanks to the generosity of our employees and others we were able to raise several thousand dollars — all of which went directly to Wigs for Kids. We also included donations of hair system adhesives and other products to help stylists with installations.
It was such a success for both Wigs for Kids and Walker Tape®, that we decided to, and are thrilled to, announce our official partnership with one another!
As part of our partnership, Walker Tape® will provide essential hair system products – tapes, adhesives, prep products, care products, etc. – to Wigs for Kids, who in turn will send them to their network of stylists across the United States.
Beyond that, we’re also helping raising awareness for needed volunteer stylists for Wigs for Kids. Wigs for Kids relies on licensed, compassionate stylists who are willing to donate their time and skill to fit, cut, and install custom wigs for children across the country.
