Water-based adhesives are great for those looking for the best of both worlds. A long-holding adhesive that’s also easy to work with and gentle on skin. Our best and longest holding water-based adhesive is Great White. Great White is a maximum wear adhesive that will give you four plus weeks of wear. We’ve even had reports of it lasting for up to six weeks. As always, hold times depend on preparation, application, climate, lifestyle, and body chemistry.
Think of it as a great water-based alternative to Ultra Hold. Great White is a good waterproof option for those with active lifestyles or who live in humid climates. Although it holds well, it’s not hard to work with or harsh on your skin. Quite the opposite. It requires less preparation than other adhesives and is easy to apply. Unlike other water-based adhesives that may become stringy and hard to use, Great White remains smooth. When it comes to removal, it can be easily removed with soap and water, however, we suggest using H2GO. Plus, it’s not flammable so you’ll save money on shipping.
Great White is made for use with Poly and Mesh systems. Application should be done based on the type of unit you’re using.
Application Directions
Poly Systems: Using a makeup sponge, apply thin, even coats of Great White to the unit. Press the hair system onto the skin and firmly hold for 10 seconds. Do not swim, workout, or shampoo for at least 24 hours.
Mesh Units: Using a makeup sponge, apply thin, even coats of Great White to the scalp. Blow dry until tacky between coats. Next, press the hair system onto the skin and firmly hold for 10 seconds. Do not swim, workout, or shampoo for at least 24 hours.
Removal Directions
We recommend removing Great White with H2GO. H2GO is the first non-flammable, skin safe remover for water based (white) glues. Simply saturate the glue area with H2GO and let it sit for 10 seconds. As it softens, start removing the adhesive. Repeat this process as needed until the skin is clean.
